Welcome to my site. Great week! Besides having lunch and catching up with two good friends from college, I accepted a job at Microsoft as Marketing Manager within their WW Retail Services group. So excited!! For those that follow this blog, you know that in addition to all things MARKETING, I’m fascinated with technology and emerging technologies. So this opportunity at Microsoft is so perfect – interesting work and fun people. Anxious to get started. Although my schedule will be much busier, I’ll still update this site and continue to add articles and videos to my Worth The Look page.
Welcome!

In my spare time….
Here’s a little taste of the type of work I’m doing and the clients I’m working with while job hunting.
1. Multi-Unit Restaurant: Developed email marketing plan driving an increase in sales in conjunction with key sporting events; helped to develop, test and launch a new menu item; produced in-store marketing in support of new menu item.
2. B2B Service: Developed a relationship-based marketing plan focused on driving incremental sales and leveraging a service differential in a very competitive market.
3. Start-Up: Currently working with a business entrepreneur on bringing his business idea to life. I’ll share more about this as I can. For now, I’m gaining tremendous experience on building a business from the ground up.
4. Volunteer/Board Member: As a parent, I’ve been involved in youth sports for several years. Now I’m taking something I love to do for my own kids and helping a local youth sports organization not only be a great community resource for families, but to also operate as a successful organization.

Full time networker, job hunter, dog walker and baseball fan
Oh, by the way…I’m still looking for the right employer. In the meantime, I’m consulting/freelancing, networking like I never thought I could, spoiling our dogs and spending all my spare time watching the boys play baseball. What am I looking for? In simple terms, a marketing position in the Seattle area (including the eastside and Everett). On the agency side, I’m looking for an Account Director or Supervisor role. And on the client/corporate side, anywhere from VP of Marketing to Marketing Manager or Project Manager. I’m really not hung up on titles. I just want an interesting challenge and to work with driven, smart, interesting and fun people. That’s all.

Marketing Consultant….right now!
While I look for new ways to make an impact on this world, I’m doing a little marketing consulting. I love the variety – restaurant biz to professional services. Plus I’m also on the board of directors for a local youth organization. The latter doesn’t pay well (completely volunteer), but it’s very rewarding. Give it a try.
